Good morning everyone. Hope your weekend is what you want it to be.
I'm off to Sacramento for a real estate investment meeting tonight and tomorrow. Returning for a high school baseball game under the lights. The team is still looking for their first win, but the team's number one starter is not healthy.

'Morning Bob and all. I'm off to do the Swamp Squeegee thang. Tomorrow is the raucous and slightly bawdy St. Pat's parade in Baton Rouge's funky Southdowns neighborhood.

Just a regular day. With all the snow melt, we're starting to see flooding around here. As flat as we are, it's hard for all that water to find a place to go.

The Big 12 Tournament is across the street from my office, so it ought to be fun getting to and from work today.

Good morning. High near 70 they say. That's a far cry from the heavy snow storm we had this time last week.
I'm looking forward to the weekend. We have the Kaufman workshop Saturday night and the club meeting Sunday w/a jam. I would like to take a couple of breaks at the jams if I can get them ready. It's been awhile. Have a good 'un.

Good mornin'!
Another glorious day in store here. We've been blessed with decidedly spring-like weather all this week, with temps in the high 60s and a few days in the 70s. Fishing fever is setting in, big time.
I've been asked to play guitar in a community-wide service on May 1 to celebrate the national Day of Prayer. This will be my fourth consecutive year for this gig, so someone must like what I'm doing. The poor deluded souls.
Have a great weekend, y'all!

hello all,
haven't had time to scratch my ass these last few weeks with gigs and writing and written exams for college. apologies for my absence, i'm sure you're all devastated that i'm not here every waking minute, like i was before.
news wise, the paris gigs have been postponed, but i'm off to lisbon on the 3rd of april for a two gig stint. should be fun, and i could do with some sun (i did a rhyme). i've passed the written exam for college, so now i just need to pass the audition. fingers crossed i won't mess up. i'll be playing three pieces, namely nicola by bert jansch, bourree by js bach, and a fingerpicked bluesy piece that i wrote, because it's complicated, flashy, and showcases all of my strengths and none of my weaknesses. i figure i'll be ok.
hopefully by mid april things will have quietened down for me on all fronts, and i'll be around more often, to communicate my random brain farts to you, and to ignore all political threads (the amount of which seem to have lessened since i was here last).
looking forward to finally getting around to scratching the aforementioned ass. anyhow, enough of my histrionic ramblings.......
hope you all are well.

Mornin'.....off to Dodge to pick up a 2001 Suburban. Great deal. It was time. The Windstar was showing too many signs of age.....but the biggest problem was that while we had it, it didn't grow and my kids did.
My Esteban video is done and sent off to Jeff.....not sure when he'll have it posted. I want to see Ann's.
Back later.

Hi all. I'm home taking the day off. Took a vacation day so I will get paid. Not planning on doing anything, just being lazy.
connington, nice to see you back, glad you have been busy

yo connington. good to see you back man. today's serving of humiliation and desire to quit will be served by Mr. Manuel Barrueco in a masterclass at 7:30. Five lucky students will proceed to be torn asunder in various fashions for the entertainment of a mid-size, paying crowd. While I am not one of the players for tonight I'm looking forward to seeing today's most forefront guitarist up close. He'll be performing at Herbst Theatre tomorrow and, thanks to David Tanenabum's intrinsic awesomeness, everyone in the department has a free ticket for that A good day to youse all, J

Good morning. Just made it under the wire for that little greeting, didn't I?
Nice to see you Connington. Your absence was noted. Don't let it happen again.
J - I hope your dose of humiliation isn't too hard to swallow. Keeps your feet on the ground and encourages one to strive. There's nothing like an intellectual beating I always say.
Sunny today. Going to be above zero F. Some of the four foot bank of snow outside my office window might even melt.

Started my day with an intraoperative evaluation of an eyelid tumor, with another one due down here in about 30 minutes. The rest of the day is probably going to be an exercise in juggling workflow. Gary's diagnosis is being presented at the noontime conference over at the cancer center and I hope I get a chance to slip over there to listen so I can get an idea of what we are in for (aggressive chemo vs. more conservative management).
We had beautiful warm weather all week, but it's cloudy and cool today and a cold rain is supposed to move in on Saturday and Sunday--a last hurrah for a winter storm!
