Let's see, Letson bought G1, my Goodall Rosewood Standard (which I had bought from Jeff McManus previously), years ago.
TequilaBob is the happy owner of Barbarossa, the walnut wonder.
SecondRoy is enjoying the Eastman I unloaded after the Barb&Bill jazz gig failed to materialize.
Black & Tan went South, as did Hilda Harmony. My skis went to the West Coast. My Guild F50 and Gibson 12-string went off to consignment at Willie's. To buy G2, I sold a Taylor 314CE locally and a Strat and a Larrivee dread and a Blues Junior amp ....
AND MY LATEST HAPPY CUSTOMER .........
is our very own Chak Aw, who is buying the Larrivee OMV-03 that I no longer need now that I have Stony Carbona! It will ship out this week.
I love it when we can keep instruments in the family!

YOu don't have the Eastman!? Wasn't that an arch top ?
Bummer. I'd have a tough time getting rid of that one.

YOu don't have the Eastman!? Wasn't that an arch top ? Bummer. I'd have a tough time getting rid of that one. Yeah, it was an extree special one, too, but it just wound up sitting around and not getting played nearly enough. Roy is playing it a LOT! Which makes me very happy. p.s. I just got done spending an hour with Carbona plugged in and oh my God ..... what a great guitar. I had NO IDEA how much that hard-as-titanium neck was gonna do for me. It is astonishing in low tunings and it sounds great through the Ultrasound gear. I am definitely taking it to the Atelier open mike tomoro -- with luck, AJ Rosales will be there, too!

What can I say, Larrys and I have always got along. After having had two L-03Rs (at different times), it's probably just a matter of time before I succumb to an OM Larry. I'm just happy that Bill and I were able to help each other out.
Speaking of keeping guitars in the family.... anyone want a used Lowden? ;-)

Good buy, Chak. I know you'll make it sound great.
So Bill, you're really digging the CA? If it pleases you, I know it must be a quality instrument.

I am just thrilled with it. I am still finding it hard to believe that it is so incredibly tough and indestructible but yet sounds so good and plays so well.
I think this thing will go down in history as a masterpiece in acoustic guitar design. It will in my book, at any rate.
And I can check it at the baggage counter and not worry about anything beyond it getting lost, stolen or sent to the wrong airport!

I tell you what Bill -- you got me jonesing to try one of these now.... Well, I can't say for sure that you would love it as much as I do. You have always had some very specific insights to guitar tone and construction that have impressed me while going over my head on occasion. On the other hand, I do seem to be able to find the sweet spot in a guitar pretty easily and play it that way from that point on. This guitar takes a little getting used to, but the more I push it the more it floors me. It simply stands up to everything you throw at it, and the key to the whole thing -- which I was not expecting -- is the NECK. It is like kryptonite or something. It is so freaking solid and you don't realize how much that translates into power and ease of play until you think about how differently you would USUALLY play this tough passage or push on a normal guitar, and how that would usually cause intonation or tone troubles. Not with this thing. It just sits there like a bank vault.

"oh my God ..... what a great guitar"
If I had a buck for every "great guitar" that has stiffened your willy enough to make sell off the previous "great guitar" I could retire a wealthy man.
You, sir, have commitment issues.

Yeah, Tramp! You think maybe the term "guitar slut" is appropriate here?
