I love these restored old autos myself and old motorcycles. My uncle had a '66 XKE convertible, and let me take it for the Junior/Senior prom, but I didn't go since I couldn't get the date I wanted and just rode around. Frighteningly fast car!
I once worked with a guy who bought a new '66 Aztec bronze GTO convertible, took the tires off and set it up on blocks until he retired from the Navy in '74. He started it every time he was on leave, but never drove in until his retirement. Restored is one thing, but original is another. Only thing was, two weeks after he started driving it, he totaled it. He was hit by an 18-wheeler (just banged him up) and it was beyond repair. I ain't nice to fool with Mother Nature! Blessed, although I have owned some wore-out cars in my life, Dan

My first car ![](http://www.familycar.com/Classics/images/68corvair.jpg) They actually hold conventions for people that still own these things.
