Even though the g--d--- tires on my g--d--- car are g--d--- expensive, having runflats is awfully nice. I've been putting off repairing a nail puncture in my left rear tire for the last month or so. In fact, I picked up a nail last year at IJam. I put some air in the tire and drove the 330 miles back to Kansas City without incident.
However, I have had two instances in which the tire went flat immediately (six inch gash in the sidewall, massive pothole that destroyed the tire rim). $275 per tire adds up.
P.S. I thought my first comment back to Dru was pretty darn funny.

Get some of that anti-flat liquid stuff. They guy who changes your tires when you get new ones will hate you, but the stuff does prevent a lot of flats.
