Hi Cribbs. Doing fine here in tediously rainy Bristol. Hope you're well.

I'm a bit crap at figuring out the time signature of lots of songs. Here’s Nick Drake
Iron and Wine.
Edit - Omg! I forgot how much I really bloody love that one.

As a compulsive straightener-upper of things, I'm feeling a bit twitchy about the untidy and slanted sticker placement.

CO2 emission reduction efforts in the automotive industry are global. The US is not going to be avoiding the trend.

Catherine Rampell wrote about the Trump fraud case in a Washington Post opinion piece. Seems about right to me. " Donald Trump’s real estate empire shall live to grift another day. So declared a court Monday in ruling that the former president does not have to put up the full $464 million legal judgment against him while he appeals a civil fraud case. Even so, that eye-popping sum has fueled criticism that prosecutors are pursuing Trump too zealously. The objections usually boil down to two arguments: First, that Trump’s white-collar cases are “victimless” and therefore not worth enforcement. And second, that every lawsuit and charge against him plays into his persecution narrative, thereby strengthening him as a presidential candidate. Both criticisms are off-base, at least in a society that values rule of law."She explains why in the article. 'Two myths about Trump’s civil fraud trial' wapo.st/3PJ7hEd(gift link)

I'm a fairly longtime YouTube subscriber of Sönke's. Learnt of him through Will McNicol's recommendation. Looking forward to more tunes on his Fylde. This was a nifty piece.

Thanks all. I am in Porto, Portugal. Just arrived this evening. Had a lively, friendly and musical evening at an Irish pub. Got some tempting sounding suggestions for a jazz bar and some fish restaurants a bit up the coast.
My digs are unfeasibly pleasant for the money and there's an e-bike hire place nearby. Weather is set fair. All is well with the world.
David, nice to see a Kinkade guitar. (Johnny Kinkead is a fine Bristol guitar maker and a splendid chap).
