Just bought an 80 gig iPod, amazing piece of equipment. Ain't technology grand? Having fun loading it up. Sounds great with my Shure E5c headphones - course they cost more than the iPod.
An abundant technology day, also got a 10 Mega Pixel camera, and a new HP laptop, internal webcam, bluetooth, a remote!!!, lots of cool shit on and in it - hell, I think it even makes espresso for me.

Tequila - what camera?
The laptop brings the paper, I'm sure.
While you're on a spending jag would you please buy me a Spyder monitor calibration machine and a new Wacom Intuos Three 5 x 8 tablet?
I've been very very good. Well, some people think so and others disagree. You can't please everyone.

"The laptop brings the paper, I'm sure." At least it won't drool on it.
The camera is an HP Photosmart R967 - chosen for the large display (diminishing close range eyesight), weight, and SD memory card. Plus Costco has an incredible return policy in case I doan like it.
I assume your wish list is photography related. I don't know what any of it is, and besides, I don't speak Canadian! ----- yank humour -----

I calculate that it would take you a month-and-a-half to listen to all these songs back-to-back. Have fun. Yes, post some pics.

It will be nearly impossible to fill an 80GB iPod with song files, but have fun trying. Of course Apple would love it if you'd slip over to iTunes and download those songs for 99 cents a piece at a staggering cost of $19,800.00.
I love my iPod and with a 20GB HD mine will hold approx. 5000 songs. I ran out of music at about 2700 songs. I can listen to it on shuffle for days without ever repeating a song. Perfect for setting on my desk while at work. You're going to love it.

I'll fill it up...
I have a couple of friends who have extensive jazz and classical collections, about 1000 CD/albums each, and I am planning to copy their entire libraries into my iPod. I have 1600 or so CDs myself, plus downloaded music. Then I'll start to edit out some of the pieces I don't care for. Just for grins, I am going to download a movie or two into the thing before I go back east, probably music videos. Probably "No Direction Home" and the recent documentary about Townes Van Zant.

Holy Schnikees! My 20gig Iriver is full so I have to remove music to put on any new music that I buy. I was considering a 30gig Creative Labs Zen, but 80gigs is awesome! But I'm sure it's so expensive that it will still keep me out of the Ipod club, which is probably a good thing in the long run.

I know you'll enjoy the process of loading all that music. iTunes is a great program and one of the best things about the iPod.
If you haven't already, go out and buy a converter to play it thru your car radio.

$339 US for 80G, not bad cuz the 30G was $259. Now I just gotta be careful on iTunes, already purchased the CD cover art for everything I'm loading, (wish liner notes were available as well) and know I'll get the Clapton/JJ Cale music being released on the 7th. Plus a couple of video treats to listen to/look at on the plane trip coming up. In fact, I'll do that right now. Signing out, Mr. Impulsive T-bob

Congrats.....Now you are officially 'a pod person' as Marshall would say. One thing I enjoy using my ipod for is recording! Bielken has a new omni directional mike that is supposed to be pretty good that will record and make a wave file right on the spot. Then it goes right into itunes next time you put it in the dock. I have used my old ipod for this with the italk. It is nice to use to get down a melody, or play a newly written song into before you lose it OR I have read this mike is good enough to record a concert. I am hoping santa will give me a new one for Christmas, as mine is old, fat and tired. I got it probably 4 years ago!
