Wow CF, that is a spectacular shot!!!!
What are you using in terms of camera equipment?
If Bill was doing Soundhole Scenes rather than Acoustic Studs for his calendar, this one could easily be a winner for the October picture!!
Gorgeous!

Thanks, Resolve. I have a Canon Digital Rebel EOS xti. This is an HDR, though, and it wouldn't have been possible with any other approach.

Thanks, Gene. I finally figured out how to get HDRs that don't look strange and I've been taking a lot of them.

The striations of different surfaces are what I find interesting. The fence rail forms a perfect boundary between the gravel and the grassland. And,of course, the sky is also its own separate band of texture.
The sunlight way off center seems to be distracting. I might try cropping out the sun side, or leaving that and cropping out the tree side. Thos two foci at opposite sides seem to be pulling the image apart. I suppose it emphasizes the expanse.
But what do I know ?

Thanks, sekhmet.
Marshall, you may be right, but I think I'll leave this one alone.
