Drive thru the Golden Gate bridge, pay no toll, you'll get a bill, with a penalty. Red light, same deal. Cameras! I'm sure it happens other places in the good ol' USA.
Now, imagine a car with an internet/wireless connection and GPS, a microphone, maybe a even webcam. Put on that seatbelt, buddy! Use your signals! Obey the speed limit! Stay outta the carpool lane! Etc....
Ick!

By the time they get that far, a combination of GPS and object sensors will have you out of the driver's seat altogether. Driving will have become a purely recreational thing.

Shoot, the new Lexus parallel parks for you. It is gonna get to where you just type in the directions and the vehicle goes there.
