I would probably do something like you do. I think we would have fun on a photo "expotition". Our style is the same. You have come a long way since the beginning and I see that you're doing a lot of looking. Your stuff is top notch Flake. I'm totally enjoying your posts.

John B, I was staying five minutes away from the first two shots, so not that early. The third was in mid-morning.

I love that second photo. So many individual patterns and layers of color and texture. And temperature, too. Vibrant warmth and sleepy coolness in the same image.
The clouds seem like excited wannbees circling around the the raidant commanding rock figure. While the tree line stands along the sideline like they're watching a procession. And the rocks and shrubs remain lazily oblivious to the coming of the new day.
