Hi,
I just found this place and I am so glad.
One of the valves on my harmonica is stuck, so whenever I play "Red River Valley" there is no note for the "Red" part of "Red River Valley".
I tried spraying my harmonica with WD-40, and that helped the valve loosen up enough to play "Red River Valley", but then when I start sucking in all that WD-40, I forget the words about halfway through (and that is where the song gets real interesting). I also forget a lot of other things. And sometimes I take long walks and get lost for a day or so.
Does anyone one know another good way to loosen up a sticky harmonica valve? I paid six dollars for this harmonica, so I can't give up on it. I suppose I could learn a song with different notes, but I really like "Red River Valley", it just makes me feel so, so,... oh, I don't know, so something.
Something that doesn't have solvents in it would be nice. I don't think I react well to solvents. They make me feel so, so, ...something. Maybe they are ok. I like nice walks.

Great and funny post, Paul. Thanks. By the way, your fellow Minnesotan, Tony "Little Son" Glover, recommends boiling. - Dub

Can't you just play it as River Valley?
