Just got Loopy's disk in the mail today. Great music to crunch numbers by . . . . , (well, that's just what I have to do today). But Loopy's disck would probably go well with anything.
Very imaginative song writing; lyrically and musically.
Great stuff.

Thanks Marshall! I'm really digging yours, too. I think you've got some paint brushes hidden amongst your vocal cords somewhere; The words and the way you sing them just take me to wherever and whatever you're singing about in such a way I can see it forming before my eyes (I had to really force myself to pay attention to the road when I listened to it driving to work one morning). "Arizona", in particular, really grabbed me. Flat-out beautiful, man. I meant to offer a review earlier, then things started getting crazy at the old stomping ground and I didn't get around to it.

It's clearly an alpha disk, Bill. You gotta get one.
Thanks for the compliment, Loopster. I wasn't fishing. There had been a nice thread on your disk at the old site. I just got my copy and wanted to jump on the wagon. (but the wagon moved).
It's really great material.
I put a suggestion that we have a separate recording project forum. I'd like to know who's done what. And have that in a plce that doesn't get buried by the greetin', chattin' stuff.
(HOW ABOUT DEM BEARS!)

I anxiously await my CD from Loopy. I've heard him live, and jammed with him, so I know how good he is. I expect the disc to be super.

Hey Doc, I'll have your disc on the way tomorrow. Blame the delay on a little miscommunication--I thought Mary had sent it Thursday, but found out today she didn't send it because she was waiting on me to sign it with my thanks, which I was planning to do the night before and forgot to. (Of course, I can send it unsigned and it'll probably be worth more...) :-)

I traded CDs with Don and I sure got the best of the deal.
Nice and the cover design is impressive too in a minimalist way.

Thanks Doug! That minimalist design was inspired by the minimalist look my wallet gets after I buy printer ink. But white don't cost a thing. ;D

Ain't it the truth. This jet printer thing is a racket for sure. When you go to buy a printer you don't look at the cost of the printer but the cost of the ink.

To refresh the memory of those of us who might have forgotten, how does one purchase a copy?

John,
Thanks for asking. You can email me your mailing address at hended51 AT yahoo DOT com, and I'll email you back my mailing address for you to send a check. The CD's are $15, and you get 18 songs (55 minutes of total music) for your money.

I received mine yesterday. Pretty good first impression. Kind of 2 in one, it seems. I like the first song a lot. Gimme some time to acquaint myself. What no photos?

Yep, Duck, the 2 in 1 idea was based on the fact that I play at everything from coffeehouse songwriter nights to bars to church socials. I find that the caffeine addicts and church ladies really like my instrumentals, while the drunks dig the vocal numbers.
As for the lack of a photo, I was going to use one, but found that it just looked a little dull and unprofessional unless I used glossy inserts, which are way, way, more expensive than the matte finish ones. Plus, seeing a picture of me might ruin the listening experience for folks imagining that I'm a trim, muscular Adonis with a full head of hair. :-)
