Looking for a clip on pickup. Something for my Seagull S6. Maybe not a high dollar one. Any ideas?

Schatten Dualie $49 You have to play with the placement to find the best spot but they do work well when you find it.Nice pickup to have around for a spare/problem solver.

Use a ferrous alloy string like DR Zebra's or GHS White Bronze and this pickup will work even better.

Just a general question for all of youse: What's the price difference between getting a clip-on pickup and having one installed?

Depends on what kind, Toddly. If you want an undersaddle one, the saddle needs to be filed down. If you get one like Bill's (from Rick Turner) the saddle needs to be routed out round. All those options are best done by a Marty.
But soundhole pickups like the LR Baggs M1, or soundboard transducers (PUTW and K&K) are manageable by a careful amateur. Also the Miniflex 2Mic is an easy install.
