Dear, Good day, please it is my pleasure to tell you about myself and my reason of contacting you, because it may look strange receiving this mail from me, since we did not know and has not meet before.
I am Miss Susan Bones, from Monrovia Republic of Liberia. I'm contacting you to assist me invest and manage my money which I inherited from my late father. My Father Late Mr Luke Bones, was formally the director of the Liberian Gold Mining Cooperation, and because of this position, the ruling party killed my father in collaboration with my uncle. But before the death of my father, he told me about the sum of 4.7 million dollars which he deposited in my name in a neighboring country called Cote D'Ivoire. My problem since all this while was how to step out from monrovia, because my uncle and his group are searching seriously to get me and kill too. Now I have escaped out from monrovia now with the help of Guinean fisherman. I'm with him for good two weeks over there in Guinea. Then, presently I'm in Abidjan Cote D'Ivoire where the money is deposited that is why I have decided to contact you seeking your assistance to help me transfer out my money to your country after the transfer is done I will come over to Live with you in your country to continue my education over there. I am willing to offer you 15% of the total fund for your effort made during this transaction. I will appreciate your urgent response please. Thanks, Yours Sincerely Susan.

Wow Chesapeake, she certainly has had a run of bad luck. And now that you have hooked up with Moorena, there's no way you can help her without being a cad, or worse. Bummer.

Did you know there are fully-grown adult type people walking around today who have never heard of the Kingston Trio?

I saw the Kingston trio back when I was 12 or 13. Iwas in Hawaii on vaca with my parents, and we went to some local tv station to see some show and be in the audience. The Kingston trio was performing that day. They were tres cool singing Tom Dooley.

They were definitely the coolest thing around when I was in college. Don't know why I was so stunned when I ran into a 20-something-year-old who had no idea who they were. The sole remaining survivor, Bob Shane, looks like he's well into his 70s. How did this happen???

I wonder where all of my folk's Kingston Trio records are. Or any of their other records. I grew up on those things. I hope they still have them.

Damn it. Just from the thread title, even without the youtubes, I've been humming this earworm for two days now.

I'm happy to say I've planted all the Kingston Trio worms into my daughters' ears, and I've noticed one of them is passing them along to her kids. When I was at their place last month I noticed the KT Christmas album on the stereo.

I have a bunch of KT albums and right on the covers in big letters they say "In Stereo".

I confess I bought a slew of KT albums in 1960 & '61. I think they're still around somewhere. But when I rediscovered The Weavers, I was pretty much done with the KT. I was looking for an image of Winston O'Conner (AKA Lord Intruder) who originally composed Zombie Jamboree but can't seem to find one on the Net. - Dub
