It's really a different song, but I am and forever have been stuck on the Taj recording. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, definitely Muddy belongs in there. Couldn't find a Dylan that wasn't a cover. Didn't know about Garnet Rogers - but thanks for the heads-up. I was a big fan of Stan.
I like all of these, but I've grown especially partial to Steve Gillette's, partly just for the soulful delivery. My long journey with Steve began when I first heard Ian and Sylvia's cover of "Darcy Farrow."

Or Bob Dylan's version

Or Bob Dylan's version. His first use of electric guitar I might add, on Freewheelin'. Loved it. Nobody lost their hair over his choice of guitar at that point.
I also like Lars' version, much better than almost all of the above.

Having a TF moment. Never heard this song before. Of the ones posted, I like Taj Mahal the best, even if, as Evan points out, they're playing a variation on the theme. The verions by Dean Martin and Ray Peterson were particularly bad. Some songs just don't need to be crooned or given the teen idol treatment.

Always loved that whole Taj Mahal album... but if we're voting, I'm going with Steve Gillette.

Paul, then let it be said that you first heard this wonderful song right here, with your old friends. *grin* I love the Taj Mahal version too. But Lars really gets in there with this song. One of my all time favourites.

Stipulating here for the record that they really are two separate songs based on a classic blues pattern. That Corrina must have been some hot babe.

That Corrina must have been some hot babe. And top-notch kitchen counter material too!

I'll take Dylan's version as the soundtrack to Dean Martin's video.
