Welcome Doc LJ,
I am glad you are here as I never had a chance to thank you.
You changed my life.
I used to be a deeply distrustful and cynical person. I always assumed, hell, believed deeply and truly, that all those magazine giveaways were made up bamboozles won by fictitious entities for cheap, commercial purposes. Then, I found out that you had won a guitar giveaway. Two even. And that you were real.
That one bright ray lit the entire basement, which enabled me to find the light switch, which then revealed the stairs, which led upstairs, out the door, and into a world of sunshine, blue skies and tweeting little birds.
I was released. Or renewed. Or reborn. Re-somthingend. I quit my job, bought a Harley, tattooed my wife and joined an upbeat cult that encouraged lots of singing, pipesmoking, and wife-swapping.
Which is where I met Jeff. Which led me here. Which now allows me to finally thank you.
Life is something, isn't it.

I did win 3 guitars and three different sets of tab/CD books while on the AG site. John, Howard and I were just talking about the strange Glissentar I won. I was a rather freaky, electric Oud-like thing. As a matter of fact, I sold it to an Oud player in Boston. LJ

God the Father is your typical old Jewish guy. 5 foot 8 tops. Sounds kind of like me. Not that there is anything resembling divinity about me. Except I'm a typical old Jewish guy who's 5' 8" tall.

I've seen Millring. He's taller than God. Sure, Jesus maybe. But not God the Father. And I have no idea about the Holy Ghost. What, you forgot to read The Shack?

God the Father is your typical old Jewish guy. 5 foot 8 tops. He sure packs a lot of omnipotence and omnipresence in such a small ish package. In the regard he is a lot like Yoda.

While there are not nearly enough “80/20 vs. PB’s: Which is better?” , “Martin vs. Taylor: Which is better?” or , “Millring vs. Howard Lee: Who is taller?” threads, I find this a rather interesting place to visit. Welcome back, LJ (can one say "welcome back" when one hadn't arrived yet the last time the welcome-backee was here?)... at any rate, welcome. As you can see, this thread has already soared to the intellectual heights attained by most of the discussions here. Now then... 80/20 on my Goodall, PB on my toast... James Taylor is definitely better than Steve Martin, though I've never heard Taylor play the banjo... I can only guess without a tape measure, but I think I'm taller.

Wow! What a story, Dr. LJ. Sure glad you're back and your wife's on the mend. But there is a penalty to be paid for such a protracted absence. You are now obligated to attend Idiot Jam in September. We'll be expecting you. Millring will be too busy and Resolve always blows us off ( ;D ) so it's up to you, son. - Dub

God the Father is your typical old Jewish guy. 5 foot 8 tops. When you're N-dimensional, you're bound to be short in some directions--but the compensation is that in others you're infinitely tall. Unfortunately, in an infinite number of other directions, you're always dieting. Omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, and omnivorous. (The Jesuits always tried to minimize that last one.) Oh, and welcome back LJ. (Jokes take precedence. But you knew that.)

Welcome back from another who wasn't here when you last were. Interesting story of your absence and glad you appear to have won. Wives are sort of high-maintenance,

LJ who?
Glad to hear your wife is doing well. Somewhere in the back of my head I wondered why you never followed John over here, but I figured it was the political stuff. I never stopped to consider that someone might have a life outside guitar forums.
By the way, I have a three year old plastic and titanium valve in my chest, and as long as it keeps clicking, it's all good.
