I loved the version of Fleetwood Mac that Bob Welch was a part of. "Future Games" and "Penguin" are two of my all time favorite albums.
He shot himself in the chest today in a suicide = 66.
RIP Bob and thanks for the music.

I don't find anything that says what the health issues were. I think health issue suicides are a whole different group than most suicides.

Oh no. Sad to hear. I saw Bob playing with Fleetwood Mac in San Diego before the Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks era.
Bummer. RIP.

I agree. In some ways, I can't imagine suicide, but I'm having fun. I have a friend whose parents both did it over health issues, and I can see how someone could do that.

You have terminal cancer 2-3 mo. or 4-8 mo of painful treatment. I can see how that would lead to suicide.

Yeah. If you're in constant pain, life is no fun, I suspect.

Either way, it's a sad thing. Either way, I hope he's in peace.

I have a friend whose parents both did it over health issues, and I can see how someone could do that. When my dad got the news they had found terminal cancer, he said he wanted to get a gun and shoot himself. I think he didn't for my mother and what it'd do for the insurance policies. He sucked it up and bore it out for a couple of years. Never saying a word to me and my brother. He forbade my mom from telling us exactly what he was going through. And then it got so bad he collapsed and went into the hospital. He had one good day on oxygen and pain meds. Said goodbye to us and died in the night. I was in the room when the doctor asked if he wanted to be resuscitated if he had heart failure. He said, "What for?" If it weren't for my mother and the insurance, I'm sure he'd have shot himself.
