Post the lyrics, Renee. A little hard to follow some of the words. Sounds nice, though.
Nice musically, though. The guitar is a little too loud for the vocal. You have a nice voice. The guitar is a little harsh with the pickup and is overpowering the voice. A mic on the guitar would take away that brittle pickup sound.
Very nice, though.

Marshall, thanks for listening and commenting. I don't disagree with anything you said. I've been recording with my Zoom H2, mic and guitar going going through my Carvin Stagemate portable PA. That means no stereo and no mixing. I've got to learn to use Audacity or buy a mixer.
The lyrics are on Soundclick, but I'll post them here:
verse:
Was it just a dream Or were you there? I could hear your voice And smell your hair
verse:
Was it just a dream Or did you come back? I've left your things the way they were, Your coat still on the rack.
chorus:
I don't know what I've been waiting for. I keep expecting you to walk in the door
verse:
Your tools still on the bench, Your books on the shelves. I've left your things the way they were So I'm not by myself.
chorus
verse:
After all these years No one can take your place. I wait for my dreams to come So I can see your face.
chorus
