somebody else will...." Ah yes, Doc John...
Anybody hooked into the recent release by "Mark Owen?" "No Easy Day." Released a couple of days ago. Controversial book, among other things. Government may want to go head to head with the issue.
It's starts out with a very brief prologue of the approach to the target. Then it zooms straight into the formative years. What it takes to be an elite Navy Seal. I'm hooked. Because of the universal theme it portrays. A young man in his prime with a passion for excellence. Gotta admire them dudes. We were all there once in our lives.
Haven't gotten far yet. Only got it less than 12 hrs ago and I'm already on page 40. And that's running around doing errands. Don't drive around with this in the car. Or you'll be reading it at every stop light.
Hope it don't disappoint. But it's gonna be a fly on the wall narrative of the killing of bin Laden at the very least.

I'm sure it will be a mega-blockbuster. Every time the government opens its mouth about how he violated his security oath, he probably sells another ten thousand copies. Better than being on Oprah.

Yup
I believe I heard that Mr "Owen" had intended a major portion of profits to benefit the Navy Seals.... who .... have dismissed the gesture out of hand as a betrayal of confidences.
Gonna be a lot of arguments around here...

I hope he sells a ton of them. However he wants to say it, the end of the book ends up with Bin Laden dead. Not too many Democrats object to that narative being told over and over these days.

And yet, the plot doth thicken.... the woman who directed "Hurt Locker" is about to open... somewhere before the election, a feature film of the episode. Ultra right Republicans unite. It's a cultural conspiracy on the part of Obama surely. But you gotta recall that our dear Georgy Porgey landing on an aircraft carrier with a banner saying "Mission Accomplished!" When the war would finally be left to the legacy of his replacement.
Hey! If nothing else. Tit for Tat.
You won't find Obama's fingerprints on any banner poles.

Actually the film you are talking about, "Zero Dark Thirty" (directed by Kathryn Bigelow) was slated to open prior to the election but they moved it to December 19th in order to avoid accusations that it was intended as a political statement.

I'm not buying it. I don't want to help make this guy rich.
