Well, as of this afternoon, I've turned over total ownership of the Guitar Talk forum. I'm stepping away from it completely and moving on to focus more of my time on my fingerstyle web site and forum....along with hangin around here more if ya'all don't mind.
I don't know what will come of it, but whatever it becomes, it won't have my fingerprints on it. It was a great 3 year run and it was a lot of fun for me during most of that time. But the bottom line is that you all made it what it was. Maybe the new owners can build it back into something....not outside the realm of possibility.

Paul, From what I could see in the postings you handled it all with grace. Thanks for everything you've done for everybody in both communities.

Paul, I think you were as gracious as you could have been in the circumstances. Good decision on your part, given the climate there.
Thanks for all your work over the years. I remember well landing on the beach in that Thunderstorm years ago, and how nice it was warming myself by the fire with my fellow forumites. It always meant a lot to me.
You are most decidedly welcome here, and I bet there isn't a nay sayer in the group! I smite thee with karma, as mixed a blessing as I can!

I wish them all the best. Honest. Despite the fact that some of them really do seem to hate my guts these days. sigh

Oh, and might I add that I would LOVE to see you around here more. I also want to get some links up to the other fingerstyle board.

Could somebody post a link back there for me? I deleted my bookmark. I'd like to look in just to catch this final disposition. I can't even find it on Google.

No doubt Paul. We are what we are, partly because of what you are. Somewhere in there is a compliment. With that said, I would like to announce that I am handing over the keys to this forum to PAUL! Hehehe... I will keep you posted on the progress of our links stuff, and when done,a link to your site as well. Cribbsy

Just make sure your name isn't on the title as a co-signer, and that there are no liens outstanding, because you could be up Shit Creek if they wreck the thing.

Paul, Thankyou so much for providing us with a new home 3 years ago...it doesn't seem that long ago, does it? Glad to have you here.

Thanks everybody for the very gracious and kind words! I do feel welcome. I can't help but feel some degree of responsibility for letting things get so out of hand over there and not recognizing the level of dissatisfaction, but I am glad you all were able to work out a solution that kept the group together. It is a truely unique body of individuals that formed over the years and I'd feel even worse if everyone ended going their separate ways.

Paul, please don't fret over letting freedom reign on TTT. Until the last little while it worked, in its own idiosyncratic way. The end began when a few select individuals decided to attack Bill for some slight that apparently occurred two years ago. What followed was strange indeed. No one should have to babysit to that extent. You did a smashing job Mr. K. Period. I am confident in the future here. I think we learned one or two things. It's going to be great.
