Good morning Paul, when you get here, and everyone else. Close to 50 degrees today. Is it winter yet?

Here! Sorry. Was on the run and on the phone this morning, then was out the door for a meeting "uptown" with the Afghan National Police.
Back in my room trying to kick whatever is kicking me. Sheesh and double sheesh.

Went to a great concert by the Army Military Intelligence Corps Band last night. Today is the final sound check and rehearsal for my chorus before our big concert. One more rehearsal and smaller concert after that. Looking forward to a break and time to spend on other music.

30 year service anniversary is today. Been working for AT&T since 12/13/82. It's been a good run. Now I need to consider an exit plan for the near future.

Overheard at the Army Military Intelligence Corps concert:
"Hey, what key is that in!?"
"We don't know. It's encrypted...."
Hehe.

I forgive you because you're sick.

We are getting soaked with our first significant rain of the season, with 1 1/4 inches being dumped during rush hour. I was awoken at 4:20 a.m. by a loud bang (I thought something had hit the house) which must have been thunder, as it started raining about a minute later. Rush hour was awful, hindered by standing water on the road (mixed with all the oil accumulated all year) and local flooding with scattered closed roads and flooded freeway exits. Gary's Thursday afternoon golf tee time is a no-go, I am afraid.

I stopped at the MCAS Miramar driving range yesterday AM--it is right next to the band practice hall. I heard them practicing. It reminded me of how long it has been since I was in concert band, doing Christmas concerts, and how much I enjoyed that. Sigh.

Took our son to Sears portrait studio today to get some Christmas pix taken. He did pretty well but totally melted down on the ride home, nap time!
This afternoon I gotta nap so I'm good for the night shift at work tonight.

Still the Thursday 13th of December at this end of our planet Boy I feel sorry for those late riser Hawaiians.
I do not know why my clients insist on waiting until I have a week vacation coming up to have their emergency projects, but at least I have work to do. Something I will always be grateful for.
