Good Morning Good People
Cloudy and cool. I have been chained to my computer all week writing boring reports. I get a break now and then to make phone calls seeking information that doesn't exist.
My journey to SwanJam has been delayed by excessive workload. I plan to leave here quite early Saturday morning and arrive in Owen Sound in the early afternoon to partake of Saturday music-making and the Sunday expedition.
Have a fine Friday one and all.

It is an even 60 degrees here with full sun and a dry, brisk Canadian breeze. A sign of tides to come?

Good to hear about the SwanJammers look forward to more pics and clips.

Another hot day here in Portland. I was going to paddle this am but found out last night that I need a oregon aquatic invasive species permit (5 bucks), because the board is over ten feet. I also need a personal flotation device (90 bucks for a self inflating belt thingie) which is what I thought the board was but apparently does not count. And a whistle. without any of those three items I'm risking a $500.00 ticket from the marine police. So I'm off to make myself legal.
Bruce, I'm sorry for your friend and his family.
Mike
Hey Doug, any chance you will swing through Portland?

Is the permit to allow you to be the aquatic invasive species? That would look killer on a resume, Mike!

I have since repaired that, and I apologize for leading you astray as I appear to have.

Having just made reservations for IJam while the Swan Jammers are partying, I am just getting ready now to head out the door. My son and DIL are celebrating 5 years of wedded bliss today. We are caring for the 3 products of their blessed union this evening so the celebrants can enjoy a couple of hours for a nice meal someplace where drinks are not served with paper wrapped straws.

The sentiment remains however, suicide is horrible and I am sad for BASSMAN's friend. Mike
