Good morning. Happy Friday if you still work. The weather is perfect today and I was going to golf but I'd just be worrying about tomorrow's gig so I'll skip golf, practice and get back to golf next week.
There's a rocket launch here tonight at 11:30 and I think it's the largest rocket they've launched from here. This one's going to the moon. It should be good practice for staying up after 9:00pm and I need to do that since I'm playing 'til 9 tomorrow night.

Good Morning Good People
Sunny and cool. Mostly desk work, then a late afternoon trip to the lakeshore to check out the work of our geophysics subcontractor. Our client plans to build townhouses on a piece of industrial wasteland at the end of a rather nice estuarine lake. The future residents will have two possible views: to the north they can gaze on the City of Muskegon power plant with its coal piles, to the west they can see the length of Muskegon Lake with Lake Michigan beyond. Redevelopment will involve covering over contaminated soils (not deathly contaminated but you don't want your kids playing in it) and removal of concrete and other stuff from 100 years of industrial fill so they can pour foundations.
Working at home the rest of the day so perhaps I will fit in some music time.
Have a peaceful Friday one and all.

On furlough today. Need to go to the hospital and give two units and get an EKG prior to next week's surgery

Greetings. The monsoon looked like it was leaving yesterday but it's back today. I have a chorus soprano only rehearsal, gotta pick up my new glasses and then buy groceries. I'm trying progressive lenses for the first time and they have a coating that blocks some ultraviolet and blue light. Getting to the point that I can't read what's on the computer monitor or music on a stand, so the old lined bifocals aren't doing it for me. My vision is too bad to be switching glasses for different tasks. I'm even starting to get cataracts. Crap, this getting old is about how I thought it would be.
Dick, I hope you pass the test and proceed as scheduled next week. Positive thoughts headed your way.

Good morning - had a thunder and lightning show last night with heavy rains. Discovered this morning I left my passenger window open on the truck. Yay.

End of a productive week: Tuesday: Dropped off a Maple OM at the new Podium ( www.guitarrodeo.com/guitars/kennedy-bird-s-eye-maple-om.html ) and then went up to spend an afternoon with Jim Olson and walked out with three great sets of Brazilian Rosewood. Wednesday: Early AM Cardioversion back into normal rhythm at Abbott Northwestern Hospital following which Marty picked me up for lunch with "da boys", followed by an evening listening to David Roos play solo jazz guitar at the Cafe Aster. Thursday: I got home and found that three more sets of Bird's Eye Maple had arrived from Euphonon Co and got all the new wood stickered up. Today: Service two cars. Get started on the fall batch of guitars. Watched myself on Lonnie's video, almost had to go back to the hospital. Have a good weekend all-stay cool!

Morning. Usually I like Fridays, but today is my last day of vacation. Still, it's better than a Monday.

I have to get this off my chest - patients who show up for their appointments not even CLOSE to on-time really tick me off.
Thanks for letting me vent.
Carry on.

I have to get this off my chest - patients who show up for their appointments not even CLOSE to on-time really tick me off. Thanks for letting me vent. Carry on. Totally agree. On the flip side I once went to a specialist who had two appointment times, 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. I discovered this when I sat for a couple of hours waiting and finally began asking the other people in the waiting room their appointment times. Apparently the guy just stacked up patients and then got to them in the order they came in. I'm guessing he avoided gaps in his day when there was no patient to see due to the patient being late.
