A little early for a daily, but I'm watching the late evening news about the storms barreling across the midwest. Hope everyone is fine with their battened down hatches. Our turn comes about 5am this morning. Another three hours or so. Hang in there folks, Mother Nature is on a rumble!

Good morning.
Hope all the mid-westerners are OK.
Looks wet here this morning but it's just the tail end of the front coming through and it's lost its strength now. Yesterday turned out beautiful. Great golf weather. Played 18 but did the back first because the front was busy. 55 on the back but 46 on the front which is a personal best for me, 46 for 9. It's hard to break 100 but it's getting better. My real golfer buddy who is recovering from cancer surgery shot 90 and said he was tired but had no pain so I bought him a couple of drinks to celebrate. It was a good day.
Sorry 'bout the Monday thing but try to have a good one.

Windy and lots of rain here yesterday, but we were northwest of the bad stuff.
Felt like I spent all day watching the Bears.

galleries.apps.chicagotribune.com/chi-131117-washington-tornado-pictures/Here is a link to photos of the devastation caused by the tornadoes that touched down in Washington and Pekin, IL. Both are small towns near Peoria. The storms were, to quote the weather service, "historic" and there are at least 6 dead. It is amazing there are not more. Hope your day is bright and sunny.

Thankfully the storms continued to weaken as they moved eastward. Here in Warsaw, the wind that followed the storms was near as harrowing as the threat we ended up facing. The winds stayed at about 30mph for the rest of the day and into the nighttime.

Morning everyone. Much colder--it got up to 86°, yesterday. Won't do that again this year.

Good morning. Those storms sound bad.
It'll be 50s-70s here, with work. Have a good day.

Glad to hear that forumites in the path of the storms are okay. Right? Up before dawn and out on the beach. Got a killer shot of the full moon. and some lovely dawn sillouettes, some extraordinary pelican behaviour and a bunch of very cool shells. I think I just saw a Frigate Bird. They are huge and graceful but usually too high to photograph even with a long lens. drat. Looking forward to a laid back sort of day. Larry has ice cream planned. heh. Have good Mondays.

Well my prayers were answered, no cracks. Tried bending both laminates at one time and it worked so I'll keep doing it.

Heh. Just got a call from my friend, Kevin. He called to ask if I saw it. Apparently his friend, Aaron, lives about a mile away from me and watched a tornado sweep across the open field across the street from his house. Apparently a bit earlier in its path it bisected a house leaving halves on either side of the road. I may get in my van an 'vestigate. I wish I'd been looking Southward instead of crating cats and rushing to the cellar.

G'mornin' - today was veterinarian day for the doggies, been there, done that, home and recovering. damp gray day, no wind to speak of, glad the mid-westerners have weathered their storms, sad at the loss of life. Hope your day is better.

There is one shot towards the end of a monster tornado taken from a window of a house in the path of the storm. I never want to see that.

Bless Dar's heart... while we were crating the cats and leashing the dogs to get them all in the cellar, she asked, "Shouldn't you grab the guitars?"

In the unlikely event of flooding, your YA AHA may be used as a flotation device.
