We are looking for a new digital piano and have this 15 year old CVP 96. 3 of the keys sounding off and can't seem to get it fixed. If someone would like it you can have it. It is the size of a full piano. Lots of bells and whistles. If we have IJam in Vinton again you could pick it up then. Any ideas on a new piano. We can go as high as $1500.00. Next piano without all the extras, just nice sound and able to do long recordings. Our phone is 3194725165

When you say "off" do mean off pitch?
Get the manual out and do a system factory reset. This is usually done by holding down several buttons during power up.
EDIT: I found the system reset online.
1.Turn OFF the keyboard's power. 2.Press and hold down the rightmost white key while turning ON the keyboard. 3.Once the power is ON, release the rightmost key. The keyboard will reinitialize to the original factory settings.

It either klunks??? hard or soft. It's some kind of contact short. At one time they said it was due to dust. Would blow it out with air, worked for awhile, not any more.

Our phone is 3194725165 It is a nice keyboard, I've played it. Whatever it takes to fix, it'd be worth having. Mary (Mrs. FC) enjoys playing the old songs. She used my grandmother's Golden Book of Favorite Songs for a while, but felt she had to give it back, although she's welcome to keep it as long as she's using it. Anyway, when Bob says no bells and whistles, that's what he means. Just a nice tone and the ability to record. I'll come out over Christmas break and take a look at the thing. I don't need it, but maybe an extra head might make it work better.

Had it back to West Music twice. Worked for awhile, both times. Tech called and said what they did was all they could do. Just had to pay for them picking it up and hauling it back.
