Good morning. Still dark here. Arizona should be even darker.
We'll await the snow storm and falling temps this morning. I should go fill some gas cans in case I need the generator, power around here being still up on telephone polls although the phone lines are buried. With any luck the accumulation here won't be more than a couple of inches but it starts as rain and ice could be a problem. There is little equipment down here for winter storms. No golf today. Son and DIL got home to Maryland last night and incidentally, North America won the curling tournament.

8:30 in the eve, no classes tomorrow, but some admin stuff to work on.
Signed up and submitted papers for a conference in Okinawa about a month from now. Definitely not Varadero, but I'll take what I can get.

Up and awake. Still coughing up the crud, but thankfully I have no fever. Off to work in a few. Tuesdays and Thursdays I get to drop Robin off at her chorus practice. I also get to make her an egg sandwich, which, when done to her satisfaction, will probably be one of my greater enduring legacies.

Not feeling great today. I'm hopeful it is just one of those mornings that I'm slow getting going, but we have been treating a lot of flu. I did get my vaccine, so things are probably okay...
Expecting windy and cold weather (by our standards), down to about 19 tonight.

Nat Wx Svc claims it's 13-below here, but my car therm said a mere 9-below. Maybe I was following a hot car, though.
Feel better, Shannon, and Northeasterners, get the hot chocolate ready.

As I mentioned on my facebook update, ABC news warned that, though the midwest from Chicago to Indianapolis was in for a storm that would drop up to six inches of snow, as that storm moved eastward it was going to get worse and might drop upwards of a half a foot of snow.

The little man on the car radio said Long Island could get a foot of snow. Yikes.

G'mornin' - 06:40 here and I don't miss the weeks of below freezing weather at all . As I mentioned on my facebook update, ABC news warned that, though the midwest from Chicago to Indianapolis was in for a storm that would drop up to six inches of snow, as that storm moved eastward it was going to get worse and might drop upwards of a half a foot of snow. well of course they did,,,everyone knows that half a foot is more than 6 inches and up to is no where near as much as upwards of.

I love the smell of snow blower exhaust in the morning. Smells like victory. Actually, I hate it but I am trying to stay positive. I am positive I hate it. I am starting a petition to end winter early. I will take it around for signatures as soon as I can find my driveway and sidewalk. We got an additional 6 inches of snow overnight. Stay positive like me.

There is a bit of a chill in the air here in NH. Got the hot chocolate at the standby.
