It just got above 0. There's two feet of snow between me and LJ. The lake drops immense amounts of snow on Lake and Porter counties. I understand the expressway (80/94) is a parking lot this morning from the IL state line well into IN. Cars are stuck, trucks are jackknifed and plows are having a hard time getting to the worst areas. Might be a good day to stay inside and either read a book or throw some pottery. And, thanks, Marshall.

It's a tolerable 9F here today.
Over the weekend we were up in the mountains near Oakland MD. Yesterday they set a record at -7F. Watertown NY set a record of -34F.
I get to telework today, so you bet I'm going to do it.

Well here in Montana we've had a few days of 20's at night with clear skies and a star show that would blow the mind of you city slickers. During the day clear and sunny with temps of in the 40's. I'm thinking of stocking the new pond in our parking lot here with walleye.

At home waiting for the auto glass guy. We only got about two inches and it was 13 overnight. Glass guy has called and already said he might not make up our 400 yard driveway. My wife and two neighbor cars made it up no problem. I am home playing guitar and learning/re-learning some tunes

Good morning. We've been steadily hitting highs of around 40 but tonight and through tomorrow we're expecting up to 6 inches of snow and a high of 22.
Bruce, your golf related posts remind me of a time long ago when I had the golf bug and played golf every weekend during a particular Denver winter, excepting the three weekends that the courses were closed because of snow. I still recall one round where it was 18 degrees when we teed off and a blustery 17 when we walked off the frozen 18th green. That particular course had a nemesis lake on 18 that swallowed my tee shot many many times. On this day, I hit my second shot from smack dab in the middle of that bad boy :-)

I don't think it ever gets and stays cold enough that I'd try to walk out on one. I'm not that Scottish. I don't see any golf weather in the extended forecast. I need at least 45 degrees, maybe less if there's no wind and I put on some thermal underwear. We have played below freezing here on a New Years Day, just to say we did it but we're getting too old for that now.

I woke up really cold this morning. I usually sleep with the thermostat set at 63 or so, but when I looked at the temp readout it was FIFTY-THREE, and falling, because Idiot Homeowner had bumped the wrong button in the middle of the night and instead of adjusting the temp setting, he switched the system from HEAT to COOL. I dunno if the A/C compressor kicked in or not, but it took FOREVER to get the house back to tolerable temp.

Cold enough out there that I'm not going anywhere, except maybe the corner store, we're out of dish soap. But that don't count because it's like 5 houses away. Unless I can bribe a grandkid to go.

Mornin'.....
Great game last night. First round play for Ty's team in the annual league tournament.....and they won 68-43. The Bluejays were rated #2 going in. The #1 team from Meade, Ks. took their only loss from Cimarron by two points. There's hope.

Geez, Bill. I knew you MN types were tough, but I had no idea you guys ran the air conditioner in the winter. Makes us IL folks look like real sissies.
