Hear! Hear! Let's hear for the Wire Hair Fox Terrier! Winner of the Westminster! Just like Russell, he wears pantaloons!

Spent time with a local accountant earlier, trying to save money on taxes.
Sun this a.m., starting to drizzle now.

Up. I had dinner last night with an old friend. Scott and I were stationed in Germany together in the late 80s and early 90s back when we were young lieutenants. It was good to catch up with him.

G'mornin' - The wire hair Fox terrier almost looked like a dog, the only finalist that looked like a dog was the Hound, wish he won. I take that back, the Corgi also almost looked like a dog. I pitied the poor Poodle.
Looks like another gray day with periods of heavy rain interspersed with light showers and misting moisture, typical winter day.

Good morning. It's minus 21, feels like minus 30 this morning. But that's the last of it. It's so cold out today it hurts.

Good morning. The forecast still says we'll be on the warmer wet side of the coming storm but I should venture out to the grocery store just in case they're wrong. There's probably not much left on the shelves. It will have to get a lot warmer for us not to have snow, it's 19F now.
Hope those south of me can stay safe and warm through the next few days. Looks like the Rte 95 area over on the mainland is going to get the worst of it which will include Chatham Street, DickT and my son and DIL. Good luck, folks.

As Bruce said, we are in the 10-14" range. Immediate DC are will get less and will probably change to sleet freezing rain east of the I-95 corridor.
I have a lot to do that's probably not going to get done before I am off of work for a month or so starting 2/24. They've got to start figuring out how to do without me anyway and this will be good practice.

We're supposed to be in the middle of the worst dumpage tonight through tomorrow night. Up to something like 2 feet of snow.
We seem to have a cottage industry of amateur meteorologists in our area, all of them fighting over projections and dissing the commercial forecasters for being sissies and too conservative.
Ah, good times.

A wee chill today. Snow starts this evening. only 6-12 inches. Still waiting for a good storm this winter for the skiers.

Good morning ... back from dishing out a good early morning dose of Earl Scruggs, Merle Haggard, Ricky Skaggs and Johnny Cash to the local listeners. Beautiful clear day with fresh snow on the peaks.
