Our Spring is becoming much like our Winter. It wouldn't stop snowing then, now it won't stop raining. Got the shop dried out but there is always the danger of more water down there if the wind gets forceful again.

44th wedding anniversary today. Will try to get up to Salisbury, Md. to a Japanese Steak House, which is our tradition for anniversary dinner, if the weather cooperates.

Worst storm we have ever experienced last night. Lots of flooding and power is out. Things are improving so looks like the worst is over.
It has been great here up until last night but we survived.

Following Mr. H to drop off the truck for some repairs. Then he's either sticking around for an hour while I play for my chorus at a retirement home or dropping me off and disappearing for an hour. Or maybe I'll take him up on his offer to stay at the auto repair place and let me pick him up when I'm done. He almost always does the repairs himself and our neighbor has the equipment that he needs. But now in his late 60s and with not so good eyesight, he has decided to just throw money at the truck.

I watched the radar as that storm went straight up along the State line, but missed central Indiana. |

We have been on Perdido Key, Fl for a week. It has been great but yesterday horrible storms hit and pounded us for 24 hours. We have never experienced anything like it and hope never to again. Same neighborhood. Hope the rest of your vacation was lovely. Is the Flora-Bama still there? Did the storm ruffle any mullets? (How's yours coming?) |

Flora-Bama is still there. Just had the 30th Annual Mullet Toss this past weekend. Hurricanes do actual improvements to the FB. They occupy both sides of the road now. It is quite a complex
Perdido Key is across the state line from Gulf Shores. I know the area quite well.
My mullet died when the hair on top died. I look like that guy from Rocky Horror in a mullet now. Damned shame, too.
The vacation has been wonderful up until yesterday and today things are getting back to normal. The sun is trying to come out. Once it does, things will dry up quickly.
It was quite a storm, though. Glad we came through ok.
We are going out to explore now.

We never want a bad storm anywhere, but when there's one on the beach, it's always interesting to go on a walk and see what washed up. I found a sawfish saw on the beach after a storm in St. Petersburg once. Pretty cool.

Expect the warmest day for our spring - 85 degrees today. That, with our wind, should finally dry us out a bit.
Our old dog now has some dementia/anxiety and wanders all night, toenails clicking on hard wood floors. It can be irritating. We got a prescription for (her) anxiety and that is helping. I am also working on getting her toenails trimmed far enough to not clack.
