Good morning. Bad night last night. Up most of the night. I seem to have on again off again with this yuk business and last night was off again.

Sorry your meds are causing problems Roy, but hope that they are having some effect. Forgot all about Cinco de Mayo. On our one trip to Mexico (Puerto Vallarta in 1983?) we arrived on May 5. At that point Cinco de Mayo was pretty much unknown in the U.S. And when we landed about the only thing that was different was that the banks were closed so we couldn't exchange dollars for pesos.

Good Morning Good People
Cloudy and cool. Still physically and emotionally exhausted from the wedding and its aftermath. Took a hike late yesterday afternoon through gray woods with green buds. Had hundreds of acres of woods and miles of trails essentially to myself, then drove around some dirt roads listening to music. Good for the soul.
Back to work. Couple of nasty reports and lots of contract details.
Have a marvelous Monday one and all.

Hang in there, Roy. In this case, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
This morning is my last regular chorus rehearsal for the season. There's also a sound check this afternoon. In between, I'll be taking Mr. H to pick up the pickup from the shop. Homemade enchiladas for dinner.

Today is less Cinco de Mayo to me than wedding anniversary. 24 years and counting. Our daughter turned 21 a few weeks ago and I am adjusting to her saying things like, "I need a beer."

First day of retirement. Feels good so far, though it comes with a bit of apprehension. If I knew when I was going to die I could budget more accurately. Without that info, I can't be sure I won't (a) go broke and wind up eating Gravy Train the last 10 years of my life or (b) live too frugally, miss some fun, and leave the kids too much of a "dead dad jackpot."

Good morning. Arrived to a chilly office - this time of year we do not know whether to leave the thermostat set for A/C or heat.
Went to the guitar show at Marylhurst University and saw some nice guitars and heard some excellent performers, including Doug Smith and Peter Zisa demonstrating a classical and a steel string by John Mello.
My friend John Greven had two guitars that impressed me, versions of a D-28 and a D-18. I really wanted to bring the 18 home. Loud, round and sweet. He said to watch for a new phenom - boiled top woods. 50 year aging by boiling.

Good morning.
Hope it gets better, Roy. Nappy retirement, Rob. You'll get it worked out.
Taking the day off from golf. Played 18 (well 19 if you count a Scotch) and shot 108 yesterday but the greens are still almost un-puttable since the aeration. They should heal in the next week or two. I'm playing a member's tournament on the 17th. I'm the defending champion although that was just because I had a really high handicap and had a good day last year. I just hope I don't embarrass myself too much. I was shooting around 120 then and I'm down around 100 now, no good but at least average duffer territory.
I sold out my R/C airplanes and associated stuff a couple of years ago but saw a youtube yesterday of one of the guys flying one of my old planes, probably better than I ever did. I sent him a note and the 3 good planes are still flying. I sort of miss flying sometimes but I'm happy the planes are still getting in the air. My eyesight isn't up to it anymore, if it ever was.
