Morning. Seventy years ago today we hit the beaches at Normandy for the final blows on Hitler. I would not like to have been there.

Getting the first service on the CR-V. They say it will take an hour. Got the car late December and only put 10k on it so far--our norm is 30k per year

Cool and sunny here. Village wide garage sale going on so we have to get set up for that. Hope to make five or six thousand dollars but will probably make about forty bucks instead. Enjoy the day.

Good Morning Good People
Partly cloudy and cool. Reading a few on-line features and contemplating the events of 70 years ago. Our fathers and uncles (and our mothers and aunts) lived through remarkable times and did remarkable things.
Desk work today, scraping up a living in the environmental biz and contemplating what's next.
Have a fine Friday one and all.

Morning Well work pissed me off last night, why do people have to piss and complain about the stupidest little things? but yet, other people can sit there and play games on their iPhones or surf the net. Doesn't anyone care about the big picture anymore?

Picked up two finishing nails in my tire on the way over here. My neighbor just hauled a construction dumpster out yesterday. Is our gravel driveway full of nails?

Sunny here, but more rain on the way, they say, for the weekend. Hope they are wrong -- grass needs cutting, shrubs need trimming.
Today, though, I plan to duck outta work early, and Babs and I are headed to an SPCO concert tonight, yay.

Lonnie played Neumanns Bar last night but I didn't make it, took 16 yo granddaughter Ayana to her violin lesson and then made the mistake of sitting down in my chair, too comfy. Neumann's opened in 1887 and they are the oldest continuously operating bar in MN. They even stayed open during Prohibition. Neumann's early 1900s Neumann's today with a different type of stead tied out front. View from the corner of the stage, original bar and fixtures are still there. The stage, not very big and being a long narrow room it gets loud.

Cute kid, good photo, Marshall.
When did kindergarten graduation ceremonies start? What is their purpose?

Cute kid and great picture.
I'm out gardening today. The weather is perfect, but I am realizing without having to hear it on the news that it's a horrible (great for them) gnat season. Buffalo gnats, no see-ums, black flies, whatever you call them, they're out there thick right now.
