My first word was at 3 AM. I said "coyotes" because I woke up hearing what sounded like about 10 of them howling. Barb slept through it but I am not sure how.

I am up by myself but the first word would have been when I was on the back porch singing My Mexican Home. "It got so hot last night you couldn't hardly breathe"

Probably "Cinder" because the first thing I do is let the dog out and feed her.
I still talk to my dog and expect her to respond even though she is totally deaf.

'Wow!' Not at all usual for me. I opened my eyes this am, felt pretty good (that's odd). Raised the shade and there was a humming bird right out my window in the wild flower patch on the raised bed, ravenously gathering its breakfast. Thought, 'this might be a good day.'

"What," as in "What a sweet dog." She gives me her morning nuzzle greeting as I walk from bedroom to bathroom and I give her a similar phrase every morning.
