Later LGOs don't have top binding if I remember correctly. There was also a B-15 in the late 60s that was the same specs as a LGO but with a spruce top. Although, I have owned a B-15 with X bracing, but that just goes back to the Gibson inconsistent thing. They had more orders for B-15s than B-25s so they used ready made B-25 tops for B-15s.

Bill not familiar with the B-15 is that a pre B-17?

Yeh, it was basically a prototype that never got picked up by the services, as I recall.

A LGO should be the same color all around since it has a mahogany top. LG1 Same guitar but with spruce top and back binding, sunburst or natural. LG2 Same as LG1 in sunburst but X braced. LG3 Same as LG2 but natural top. Just finished a neck reset on a sunburst LG1. I did a Brazilian bridge for it a few years ago. Now I know I've never seen an LG0. I thought hog tops were only for dead Martins and Harmonys

That's a lovely little thing isn't it, seems to have stood up to time and use pretty well.
