Up. I'm on a trip all week and my back and hip decided to act up. I've decided to blame God.
(That's a Sunday joke, kids.)

Ease back on the LSD, Paul. It shouldn't last a whole week...

Morning. Tired. My Mom went to emergency last night, and they checked her in for observation. She will be 89 next week, and she was having trouble getting a deep breath. Also running a little fever and throwing up. I'm scheduled to fly down next Sunday and help her do stuff, and celebrate her birthday. Sigh. We tried to have her come up here for a visit but she doesn't want to fly. Depending on what they find out I might be going down sooner than planned.

Good morning.
Best wishes for your mother, Mike.
Just power washed the bird cages as something to do on a rainy day since I was going to get wet whenever I did it and couldn't golf anyway. That's enough work for a Sunday.

Jez! Too rambunctious for early Sunday morning. Tone it down Donkey Man some people are still trying to sleep. Morning all Gonna rain today, which means I won't get to mow lawns, oh bother. I may have to do indoor activities like wasting time at the computer or working in my shop. Parts 10 & 11 are up on Restoring Millring's H1260, enjoy. Paul needs some pool time and ibuprofin. Best wishes on your hospital stay Dick. Hope your Mom is doing OK Mike. Not sure if the dry desert air would be better or worse for her breathing than the humid NW air.

Good Morning Good People
Greetings from the shores of Upper Silver Lake. Dawn is spending few vacation days at her brother's cottage whilst brother's family is in Colorado. I spent last night here, heading further north and east to Alpena this evening for a day of field work tomorrow. The lake is a dammed-up valley upstream from a real lake. Peaceful at the moment, soon the morning no-wake time will pass and the lake will be whipped to a froth by jet skis and water skiers.
Dick -- hope the hospital stay passes quickly with minimum discomfort.
Mike -- hope your Mom bounces back soon. Those of us fortunate enough to still have our parents are constantly worried about them.
Have a serene Sunday one and all.

Heading in to Old Town School in a little bit for my "Songwriting" class. I finished my weekly assignment in surprisingly coherent fashion. We were to write something with simple chord pattern in a very even meter; using Bill Withers (Ain't no sunshine) as an example. . . . , I've been carrying around in the back reaches of my head the idea to do a song "Lazy Acres RV Park" that is a bluesy thing about RV living. The idea was to base a story on Madame Butterfly (or Miss Saigon) only basing it in an RV park. I found a nice simple Bill Withers-like chord structure and the lyrics kind of spun themselves. A touch of humor. A slice of life.
It'll be fun. I might be able to to turn this one into a production number. It's pretty good.
