Well, I've gone and done it now. My old G4 recording computer was failing, I tried everything to get it to keep running, including cloning the hard drive to a different machine, purchasing a used machine, and praying to Steve Jobs. Nothing worked. So here I sit, in front of a brand-new iMac, talking to the screen, and watching my words appear magically in front of me. This is going to take some getting used to… new computer, proTools 11, a new record in/out system. I'll be living on Kraft macaroni and cheese for the foreseeable future, but my desktop sure is pretty.

You can do some tasty stuff with a couple packs of Ramen noodles, I buy the Chili or Pork flavor.

Well, that's one thing going for you. Did you take that into account when you bought the computer?
Seriously, it's always fun to have a new toy. And these days a computer is as necessary as a refrigerator.

Congrats Lonnie!
I had to do the same a couple of years ago - it's been great. The iMac has been wonderful, and it's been nice to be able to use a non-Digi interface (especially since I use Logic, as well as Protools). Enjoy!

I honestly love Ramen noodles. I toss some peas or broccoli in mine, (usually peas). Sometimes I bust an egg in there.
