Don't deduct the check amount when you reconcile your checkbook, Giacomo. I'm keeping that for framing when you get your Grammy. (I thought you were kidding about the re-imbursement for shipping or I would have told you not to worry about it)

Salvador Dali used to write checks for everything he bought, and sign them with a big flourish. He knew his signature was worth something, and most people would never cash his checks. He once said that if everyone suddenly cashed all the checks he's written, he'd be bankrupt.
