Actually played guitar a bit today. Bill's comment about Swannanoa made me think about Orkney tuning and it has been a couple of years since I tuned to Orkney but it came back pretty quickly. Still queasy but that may be from the Keflex that I am still on more than after effects of IL-2. I forgot to mention that the day before I went in the hospital I got a serious dog bite on my calf. So I was on IV antibiotics in the hospital

Morning
It WAS looking like rain a little while ago, but it passed and the sun is shining. Which means I have no excuse for not mowing the front lawn, damn.
Work continues on the Guitarrone, a few old Harmony's, a 64 Gretsch Folksinging and Mr Bill's Goodall*.

Woo freaking Hoo. Another day of 100+ heat in the desert. When I was growing up my Mom always lived at the beach. Why she didn't stay there instead of moving to the desert hell hole is beyond me.

Lawn mowed, taking a break by working in the shop. In a little while I'll go out and edge the damn lawn.

Yeah, Marty it's a nice day to mow the lawn, so nice I did it twice. First I had to cut the weeds that have done really well with all the rain we've had, then I had to mow again to disburse the big clumps of cut weeds. One, at least this one, does not rake a 3 acre lawn.
Golf, my game anyway, has stunk lately somewhat due to the dripping wet course conditions. Still, my handicap is down to 32 from the old man tees, 33 from the regular tees and supposedly 34 from the pro tees. The handicap computer has obviously never played real golf. There's no way I'd get over the water from the pro tees. I don't always make it from the old man tees. I doubt I could make it over from some of the regular tees.
We have visitors coming Friday, a previously unknown niece and her husband who are coming up from Mississippi, on a Harley, because he has a week long class to attend in Norfolk. She's the unknown illegitimate daughter of Mary's oldest brother, who was a Green Barret killed in Vietnam during 'Tet '68. She found the family through Facebook and has been communicating with Mary because they share some genetic diseases apparently. I hope they don't like country music but the odds are not good. He's a oil-rig worker and paramedic. This could be interesting.
