If Marty goes to California, he could be a Hollywood stentman.

You guys better hope that bad puns are a healing force. In this case, a healing farce!

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I know you were all being honest because the bad puns and hi jack attempts didn't start until page 3. I said I'd been having stomach problems lately, well it wasn't my stomach. Wednesday night I got a rather severe bit of heartburn that made my arms numb, you don't have to me me what that means. So I had Cheri drive me to United Hospital Emergency. First EKG said I was not having a heart attack but blood work that came later said I did have one. Getting the IV in me turned out to be frustrating for the ER folks and quite painful for me. Five tries with no luck so they called for a pro. This guy had been a Army Medic and said he had done IVs while hanging up side down and in near dark. He got it first try, so they got me stabilized and in X Ray. If you have ever had to take nitro you'll attest to the massive headache you get from just one little pill, on me they put a nitro patch. Then came a long night of little sleep, between the nurses(bless their hearts)constantly fussing with me and that headache. I won't let them give me morphine, shit don't work, Tylenol does. Tried to sleep most of Thursday until surgery time. By the time I got in surgery I was perky enough to request the drinks bar be brought in, I'm buying. I never remember what that stuff is but BOY do you wake up with a smile on your face. Thursday night the nurses let me sleep for most of the night but to tell the truth they may have gone about their business without me even knowing as I was was so in need of sleep. Now I'm home, in need of a bath, feeling good and happy I can sleep in my own bed. The good/bad news is that I'm going back for two more stents, but probably not until after IJ. Thanks for worrying about me.

Marty, the stents are little miracles. You will have much more energy than you had before. Lucky you being out for the procedure. I was awake, watching them cut my artery and then have a heart attack. Cute. Sounds like you are on the mend though, and the next two stents won't hurt any more than these did. Glad you had the knowledge to know what was going on ... see you at IJ!

Yay, Marty! So relieved that you're back at home. I suspect there will be a little rethinking on the bacon aspects of your diet, but things could be worse.

Glad you are bouncing back.
We were experiencing existential angst.

Thank heavens you're OK. The puns were beginning to make me crazy.
Oh, and glad you're better because, you know, you're better.

Glad to hear you're on the mend, Marty.
And don't pull a stent like this again!

Outstenting news. So, ostentstibly, you are out of the woods? Do you have any ostentatious scars we can see? Was your procedure consistent with good outcomes? We look forward to your stentoirian posts about guitar fixin', Marty. Your admittedly short abstention from posting here resulted in an insistent and persistent outcry from the rest of us, because your posts are consistently good.
I will now absent myself from this thread before the rest of you make me nonexistent.

My diet isn't too bad normally, other than probably too much Red Bull. I don't buy bacon very often, once in a while for BLTs but very rarely for breakfast, unless I'm having breakfast wif da boyz. Usual breakfast being English muffin w/PB or oatmeal.

So glad your on the other side of that procedure. Hopin' you're feeling much, much better, but please, do as Bill said and follow instructions to the letter. Those next two stents are waiting for you to finish the refurb.
