Need more coffee. Much more coffee. Still to-the-bone exhausted. . . . , Can FC cook or what? Good grief! Surely ours is the best fed gathering of its kind anywhere, ever. Thank you! . . . , Yes, Bob did a wonderful job. Many, many thanks to Bob and all. Glad you made it Jeff (?).

Need more coffee. Much more coffee. Still to-the-bone exhausted. Got home around 4:00 yesterday. Nice ride back. Warmed up some. Lots of sun. Beyond awesome seeing everyone at IJ. Some new faces. Lots of old faces. The joint in Garrison was perfect. The after-party at the Cobblestone ended too soon. Dick and I were good for a few more hours at least. Apparently 2:30am is considered "late". Special thanks to Paul for chauffeuring me around. We never did find a liquor store, but managed to secure adequate lubrication anyway. Letson brought some extremely fine whiskey of some sort, and it went down well with the gas station beers we found. Can FC cook or what? Good grief! Surely ours is the best fed gathering of its kind anywhere, ever. Thank you! Yes, Lonnie, mine is bigger than yours. But you can try it any time. You'd be amazed at how much it puts out. That's e-cigs, folks. Kind of jealous that Bill got to enjoy the tender accommodations of the Modern for one more night. You know how everyone says they had a great time but their only regret is not having more one on one time with everyone? Yep. Freakin' bikers! So noisy and in your face! I have stopped for lunch in Rochester -- blackened steak sammich on the way. Gas mileage not great at 27, but that included a lot of running around in Greater Vintonia and one helluva headwind and rain today. Skies have cleared now though, and I have only a little over an hour of driving left. That is DRIVING, with a roof and a radio, far superior to two-wheeling over great distances!

We have a set of tall china cabinets right outside the kitchen next to my computer. They are called "lawyer bookcases" in part because I got them from my Dad who is a lawyer and I think that they are actually called that to boot.
Anyway, yesterday afternoon Kelly was pulling a teapot out from the top shelf and she left the door open.
This isn't the one we have but it has the same basic mechanism. The top of the shelf is a tad short of six feet and I'm a tad taller than six feet and as I was walking from the kitchen to the computer area that extended door caught me right on the top of my head.
I saw stars, and birds and elephants and little green men and my life flashing before me and truth be told, none of that stuff is the least bit worth seeing.
After my head stopped bleeding and I could open my eyes again, I went to bed and stayed there for multiple hours. My head still feels like someone rang a bell and it hasn't stopped vibrating. Probably a minor concussion. Not fun.
Kelly, of course thinks it is her fault but in fact it is mine. When you are dealing with someone who has memory issues, any sentence that starts with the phrase, "Hey, don't forget to..." or, "You need to remember to...." should be self directed. They'll forget. No point putting the responsibility on them to remember to close the door. Just remember not to walk into it.

400 miles travelled since 8 am and about two hours left to go. Sipping a Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager at Applebee's and waiting for soup & BLT. Should I go to work tomorrow?

It sounds like a great time was had by all at IJam . . . again! Wish I'd been there.
But instead my wife and I had two days at the Oregon coast at the dog friendly "Ester Lee" hotel. Wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean, long walks on the beach with our dogs and some great clam chowder at Mo's Restaurant. Sunny and in the 65 to 70 degree range. Just perfect. No there was not the music and camaraderie that the IJammers enjoyed, but it was a weekend away from home and work and was very enjoyable.

Besides the headache, I love those cases, Tramp. The Braille School is full of them.
