Whatever day it is, good morning.
I was talked into playing a golf tournament today but luckily it was cancelled due to lack of interest. My tournament partner and I will play this morning anyway but just for fun.
It was kind of funny yesterday. Since Mary goes on Medicare Nov. 1st, she called Blue-cross to cancel her Obamacare policy but they'd never heard of her, although I've been paying them since March, and told her to call the federal exchange 800 number. Eventually, the rep at the exchange number found her and I think cancelled coverage as of Nov. 1st but I'm not sure I believe it. I'm not paying the bill for November anyway and just hope it doesn't wind up on my credit report.
I've decided to leave Medicare-Advantage and get a supplement instead, the same as we signed Mary up for but there's nowhere on the Medicare web-site to terminate the plan you're on so I'll have to figure that out. Nothing's ever easy.

As I did on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday ("Wensday"), Thursday, and Friday, I shall be working today. I switch things up tomorrow, though, and work on Sunday too.
Actually, yesterday I put plastic on the pots I was working on and drove a rental (Team Breeze has the van at an agility even -- Breeze "double-Q'd" yesterday) to Indianapolis to attend the funeral of my friend's dad. Saw lots of faces I hadn't seen in forty years.

G'mornin' - goin' to a two-year-olds' birthday party - is that the crayon birthday? John, that's a lousy reason for a reunion, but looks to be the most likely one any more.

My friend, Cary Hulin, has a pottery in N. Ohio near Wooster. Yesterday he had ten vintage Fords drive up his driveway and park. As the drivers toured his pottery shop, he got out his camera and toured their cars.

I found out yesterday that vintage car insurance is cheap. I got the vintage policy on the VW yesterday and it was about 1/3 the cost of insurance on the HHR for slightly better coverage. I don't know why but I'm not complaining.

I was retired on each of those days and still am today. I may take a job tomorrow but I rather doubt it. As matter of fact, I have no intentions of taking a job. Ever. I just said that to try to impress you people. I hope to enter mega-retirement next week. Funny, even though I was and am retired, I was busy as hell every day. Maybe I should take a job so I can get some rest. Anyway, have a good day.

Good morning. We love it here but honestly we don't get the sunsets and sunrises that I've seen in AZ, UT and FL. Lovely shots Kramster.

Morning
Guess I'll get to work but first I need to figure out how to get power to some of my shop tools. I'll use extension cords but will not keep them plugged in. That way I can get my bench lit and I'll just have to plug/unplug power tools as I use them. Really need that 100 amp service installed but that's not going to happen until I find a electrician that is willing to let me do the work. I just can't afford to have union guys do the work. It's okay, I passed the first hurdle, city inspection, now I need to find someone to pull a permit and oversee the work on the cheap.

Good Morning Good People
Still raining in the North Woods. Hanging out in Petoskey and Boyne City, might hike up Avalanche Hill for a view of Lake Charlevoix and beyond if it stops raining long enough.
The new owners of the former family cottage property built a McMansion, but its not a monstrosity. At least they preserved most of the maple trees.
Back home tonite. Good night for a fire in the fireplace.
Have a sensational Saturday one and all.

Wow, it's Saturday. This doesn't happen every day, you know. And I got plans. Big plans. Let's see there is, uhhh, something, followed by something else, and then that other thing. Yep, I'd better get rolling.

Well, a tough two weeks of night shifts are behind me, including last night and the night before putting out the Business section, something I had done only a couple times before. The Friday shift is especially brutal, as you have to put out THREE sections -- Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with a lot of wire-service scouring and story selection, also something I do only rarely.
But I survived, the weekend weather looks glorious and then I have a week of relatively cushy day shifts next week before two weeks of vacation. YAY.
Time to make a Trader Joe's shopping list.
