Well, Lonnie was unable to join us, but what a delight to sit OUTSIDE one last time (maybe not) and have lunch with Marty today at a cool little Italian joint in south Mpls. Sun shining brightly, leaves ferociously bright, 65 degrees, light breeze, no bugs, just perfect.

Hitting the road to MN after a big dose of football, swimming, hockey, and eating in Evanston. Good luck Marty. Tell them to warm pack your arms and use a blood pressure cuff for a tourniquet inflated to midway between systolic and diastolic. Best trick I learned as an intern and moonlighting as a lab tech. True dat. Rubbery tourniquets just don't cut it on a tough stick. Wowed many a nurse using this trick and then convincing them to use it. The best way to get a bad vein is to turn it into a good vein. This does the trick.
