Trivia - Italian fans of football etc. are referred to as 'tifosi'. This comes from their supposed resemblance to people suffering from typhoid fever. That's what my mate Steve says anyway. Okay. As you were.

Did I get it right that 3, yes 3, KC pitchers threw a pitch over 100mph. Yah. That's how you win a ballgame.

I love baseball. I absolutely LOVE it!!! Sucky thing is, though, that I'm in MN where we haven't had professional baseball in, oh, about 4 years. Yeah, we have a team, just seems that they've been playing AA ball, not pro ball.
I do like the Giants, but for this one I've been rooting for KC. Had the AL team been the White Sox or the Yankees I'd be firmly supporting the National League team, ANY NL team.
Sometimes, even if I am near a TV, I'll elect to listen to baseball on the radio. Sure, you can't see the game then, but given a good play-caller/commentator pair it can be very exciting, just in a different way. Especially if I'm driving in the car with my Dad or out working in the garage on a car or building something in the shop - it's really fun to have that in the background.
Go KC!

One of the most exciting sports moments I've been witness to, was the 2009 AL tiebreaker game between the Twins and the Tigers, Game 163 on 10/6/09 at the Dome. It was exctacy, ecstacy, escxtacy, it was really fun. Went into 12 innings, about 4 hours 45 minutes of up and down and nailbiting and oh man, you just had to be there. The following year, 2010, my wife and I were either at, listened to on the radio, or watched on TV 148 of the 162 game season. We kept a notebook with the lineups and pitchers for both teams and the final score (along with margin notes about amazing plays). That was a very fun thing to share together. In 2011 we had our son, and since then I've been at, or watched on TV, *maybe* fifteen games total!
