Only met the man briefly and only bought a Mandolin Bros T-shirt, but my buddy Richard was there a few months ago and Stan sat down to play with him.

Howard Emerson heard from John Monteleone. He will post funeral info on FB.
You may have missed the thread announcing Stan's hospitalization for cancer a few weeks ago.
I just got a spam email from the store announcing that they are closed Thursday and Friday.

Stan put many great instruments into the hands of great people (some famous, some not). Those of us who weren't his customers were thoroughly entertained by his advertising of fine instruments.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I am thinking how wonderful it would be at the end of life to close your eyes as that glorious "Go to the light" beckons, and smile and say to yourself, "I made so many people happy during my life."
"And I had so much fun doing it."
