On a personal note, in 1966 I was with a band called Jokers Wild. We started 5 pice, then stripped down to 4. Our keyboard player quit, and as we faced the dilemma of finding afourth member, Cream came along. Gutsy children that we were, we decided that we could be a power trio, too. If it hadn't been for Cream, we might never have taken that chance. [...] I didn't think it would be possible to have a stack of amps taller than Lonnie, but I was wrong.

Gee, Lonnie, I was a kid back then but barely old enough to remember that kind of stuff. So, what happened to you guys?

What strikes me about stories like this is that when I was in junior high and high school the musicians I was listening to really weren't that much older than I was.
