Rachel needed some new pics for her salon's website, so I spent Saturday down there shooting up the place. It was pretty fun, and very interesting. That is certainly a female domain. I set up a little portrait studio, and did "before and after" pics of anyone who wanted them. I was worried that they would all be camera shy. Couldn't have been more the opposite. They all wanted to get in front of the camera. This is a co-worker and former roommate of hers. For the life of me, I don't understand why such a pretty girl things she needs that garish color and nose rings and stuff, but what are you going to do? Here's Rachel: These two were really cute. This is a mom and her daughter. The mom, sad to say, is pretty out of it, but she still has those piercing blue eyes: This poor girl had the best smile of the day, but she hates her braces so she refused to show them off: She was there with her mom as well. Very social thing, going to the salon. Weird thing these days...since the advent of tooth whitening, the middle-aged people have whiter teeth than their 20-something kids. Got some oh-so-artsy product shots while I was there. I have no idea what all these potions are for, but there certainly are a lot of them. Rachel says that's where the real money is made. These ladies come in for a $30 haircut and walk out with $100 worth of essential goop.
