Mornin' all.
It looks cold, dark and miserable outside.
Good thing I have absolutely nothing planned today.

Good Morning Good People
Snowing. Predicted to accumulate enough to shovel but not enough to break out the newly-repaired snowblower. Stuck at the computer again -- about to start Module 5 of a required on-line training program, followed by boring reports. Maybe next weekend will be a normal weekend.
Have a serene snowy Sunday one and all.

Wet but fairly warm here today. Cold returns Wednesday according to the forecast but still not as cold as the upper mid-west. I don't see any golf in the near future though. Since the wife is allergic to me now, we have separate computer rooms. I moved this computer in yesterday and couldn't get it to boot up. It developed a conflict between the video card and the wireless card I had to put in it that took some time to figure out and whilst screwing aroung with the cards I knocked the cooling fan off the CPU, etc. etc. etc. Anyway after about 5 hours work it finally came back up. Spent the rest of the day getting the peripherals working. I used to do this for a living but I was smarter then.

Good morning. It'll be 40s-60s, with 70s by midweek. Church this morning, coffee with friends this afternoon.

Today would be my Dad's birthday. He grew up in the South Jersey pine barrens in a life that could make a Dickens novel. After his mother died of tetanus in child birth, 2 of his sibs were murdered by a crazy aunt who was assigned to watch over them while my grandfather grieved. Granddad ended up marrying a very hard woman who pushed him from farm to med school. Dad interrupted college for WWII and met Mom in England. They got married, and on their honeymoon night in a London Hotel, they woke up in the am to find that the hotel beyond their bedroom was missing, obliterated in a bombing raid. The eight of us he fathered are glad it was the other half of the hotel. He was a very good man and a fine doctor. I do miss him.

Good morning. As the southwesterners try to find respite from the temps that dip into the 40's, some folks around here will break out the boat drinks this afternoon when we reach the mid 30's.

G'mornin' - Happy it's only raining a little bit and temps are above freezing. What do we do if we can't complain about the weather?

Morning
Getting nippy, -2F right now, more snow on Monday night. May have to turn the thermostat up to get the basement shop warmed up enough to work in there.
Other than that not much going on today. Grandkids will be here for dinner, vegetable beef soup and cornbread, nice cold weather meal.

Back home in Portland. Good to be home. Need to get the Christmas tree and stuff put away for another year, do some grocery shopping and get ready for work tomorrow. Oh, laundry too. I do live a exciting life.

Wow, Doc, you can put a lot into a paragraph. What a life your Dad had.
It's below zero, and we can hear the wind howling.

Chilly everywhere, looks like. But I'm about to head over to Barb's, where we are gonna attempt to build the world's finest frittata. Then off to work, 3-midnight shift.
