Responding to a different thread, my all time favorite brew company is the distinguished "Rogue Brewery". My favs are their "Dead Guy Ale, " and, for a special treat, on those cold rainy northwest winter nights, their "Hazelnut Brown Ale." www.rogue.com/Mike

I enjoy most of the hoppy pale ales: Summit, Sam Adams, whatever local breweries produce when I travel. The Schell Brewery in New Ulm has an interesting old-style called Schmaltz's Alt, and I've always liked Anchor Steam. I don't drink a lot, and most enjoy a beer/ale with a meal, especially Indian or Mexican.

Asking me that question while I'm in Ale Heaven is difficult. Currently my vote would have to go to Forest Gold or Tanglefoot. There are just so many good ales over here.
Right down the hill from where I work is a brewery, and I'll get ale straight from the vat there sometimes. There is NOTHING quite as good as fresh ale.

I used to drink cooking lager by the gallon, but now, since they banned smoking in pubs in Scotland, I just sit at home - all on my lonesome - drinkin' rather fine Italian red wine.

I've actually had a couple of Rogue Brewerey's products, including a Dead Guy Ale. It was very nice. My favorites for everyday, easy to get at the grocery store beers, though, are Sam Adams Black Lager and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Tim

I have yet to meet a microbrew I didn't like, though I like some better than others. Lately my favourites have been products from Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I particularly like Two-Hearted Ale, a Pale Ale with just a little more body than the typical IPA -- it's named after a fine river in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with a connection to Ernest Hemingway.

I have been lucky this year to try new stuff when I was out in Cheyenne. I finally tried Fat Tire. Excellent. I also had a couple wheat beers, but I can't remember their names. I also bought and drank a 6-pack of something called Bitch Creek.
Right now, my favorite beer is Shiner Bock.

Like Tamarak, I've never met a micro brew I didn't like. Except for Millstream, which is brewed in the Amanas in Iowa. Tastes muddy.
As far as beers and ales sold nation-wide that everyone has heard of goes, I'm a fan on Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Boulevard Pale Ale, St. Pauli Girl and Guinness.
I'll keep my eyes open for the ones listed I've never heard of in this thread, though. It's kind of tough to find anything around here but carbonated water like Bud and Miller.

I like all the beers Bill doesn't drink anymore. Doesn't leave much. I'm not too choozey, but I probably ask for Bass Ale the most.

I don't ability to sample lots of beers and I don't drink much, usually only when travelling on business. So I usually go for time tested Guinness, when it's on tap. If it's not available, I'll order the goofiest sounding thing on the list just for variety.
Unless I'm staying at the Embassy Suites in Phoenix where we get free drink coupons, but only for house brews. Then I use the volume factor to make up for quality.

I'm not much of a drinker since I developed diabetes, but I still enjoy a good brew now and then. My favorite brew has to be Fat Tire Amber Ale from the New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins. They make several styles of brew and I like most of them a lot. Their 1554 black ale is very good along with their Blue Paddle Pilsner-Lager beer and Abbey Belgian Ale. Other favorites of mine are Sam Adams Scotch Ale and Brown Ale and Pete's Wicked Ale.

I'm partial to the hoppy IPAs. Local microbrews Bridgeport Blue Heron and Bend Brewery Elk Lake IPA are top of the list these days.
Mmmm, beeeer.

I like Newcastle Brown Ale but just about and brown ale or bock will do. Ontario's Brick House Brewery makes some fine brews.

I like them all. I really do.
I will mention one I am fond of because it is usually good bit cheaper than the other craft-type ales. Henry Weinhards Blue Boar Ale. It is a nice, pale Irish-style ale, and I can usually get it for around $4.50 a six pack. Most of the others I like are around $6.00 or more.
I try to have at least one beer a night. Sometimes six.
(kidding, but I will have two if I feeling the need of a little extra medicine)
