We've been having strange, warmer weather so far this winter and not much snow. I like it.

Nice winter up here, also. There is enough snow to insulate my roses and lilies. But, not enough to mess up everything else.
It's not as warm as the winter of '42, during which I just heard there was a high of 62 at Itasca (and upper 50s and low 60s across the state) on Jan. 26th. But, we had a nice 30 F yesterday, and I'll take it. January thaws aren't common, but they are always welcome (maybe two or three Januarys out of ten have a nice stretch of warm weather.

Good morning. Just a dusting on the weeds here and about 30 degrees. With luck it'll all be gone later this morning. The roads should be clear.
My old New England home got the worst of it which just reenforces my belief that I made the right decision moving down here. If you're in the snow band take it easy with the shoveling.
Still want to get another foot or so of water in the pool before I'm out of commission but if it stays above freezing for the next few days that should be possible. The water level didn't appear to go down overnight so it's a slow leak wherever it is.

We got about an inch of powdery snow over night. Nothing big. Don't know how the folks out east made out but I assume there was a lot in some places. Enjoy the day and let's hope for some sunshine.

Just put some seed out in the bird feeder to keep them from getting that hungry.

Kitchen and laundry chores done. I just ordered the aged brass tuners for the Sister 1260, paid for 2nd day as I plan to have this guitar done this weekend. I figured as long as I'm doing slightly different things to this one I might as well do a ivory nut and saddle. Mammoth ivory, not elephant. I do have some elephant ivory but it will only be used on something that is antique(not just vintage) and had elephant ivory on it originally and would not be acceptable with anything else. Now if we can just get the damn Chinese to stop using the stuff.

Well. Just a glancing blow here for that "historic" blizzard. For a few measly dollars we talked mother nature in moving that "totally fucked up" to New Hampshire. And it payed off. It mostly got dumped on caochdoc's doorstep!!
Have fun Doc! LL Bean has a special on "Sport Utility Shovels" !!!
