No work for Todd Monday or Tuesday. It's still coming down for the rest of the day.

It would be up to your armpits instead of your nakiehole in your case.

Well, tomorrow's booked so I just need to get through today and then I won't be making any decisions for myself for the rest of the week I guess. Have to report at 9am for surgery. That's a little later than I thought but maybe it will give the surgeons more time to get over the Superbowl party.

Lots of wet, heavy snow overnight. Ugh. More to come. Try to enjoy it.

G'mornin' - after 4 days of unusually sunny weather we had a hard rain overnight and it's still coming down in a normal kind of soak-everything-until-it-runs-off-in-boredom rain. Like good snow/cold wear in Minnesota, rain wear makes life bearable on the wet coast.

It's snowing, and it's blowing. It's the blowing part that makes it that no one is going anywhere.

Snowing and blowing, not much accumulation yet. Daughter-in-law reports treacherous conditions driving home from a night shift and daughter reports treacherous conditions driving home from hanging out with friends.
Writing boring reports this morning, extended family gathering later, observing niece's birthday, playing cards, a football game might be involved.
Have a serene snowy Sunday one and all.

They had said we had a good chance of snow overnight but it just missed us. Sorry, flatlanders.
Nice day yesterday, ran some errands, then Barb and I went to a wine tasting, then we repaired to her place where she made the most delicious meal -- mahi-mahi, Brussels sprouts with bacon bits, rice medley, and some terrific cheeses beforehand, including a killer goat cheese from France.
She did the fish in a way I had never tried before and it came out perfect. The fillets were a little more than an inch thick. She got a skillet hot enough to get some butter frothing, but not turning brown, and sauteed the fish for 4 minutes on one side, then flipped the fillets and put the skillet into a preheated 400-degree oven for about another 4 mins, pulled it out and let it sit for a few mins on warmed plates. It was so flaky and perfect. Little lemon, salt and pepper, all that it needed.

Up.
Coffee.
It started here last night. Wet, sloppy goop. Saw a bunch of cars off the side of the road driving home from the hockey game last night. This morning its colder and lots more snow and WINDY! The paper says six to nine inches by the time its over.
Couldn't have timed it better, actually. I ride my bike all winter (when I can), but it needs new tires and shocks so I pulled everything off yesterday and it will be a few days before all the parts are in.

Dennis and I of course are enjoying the same thing. It was beautiful the last few days, the kind of mid winter weather that sucks in easterners who come to visit, and decide to move here. They seek everything and arrive, to find the months of this stuff. We all laugh maniacally. Still better than snow.
Music, football, and hockey today.

Morning
We got a minor dusting of snow last night so the roads should be okay for going places.
Went to a jam/strum along at Cap't Donn's last night. Lots of acoustic guitars, bass, keyboard, percussion, I played my Tele most of the night but picked up a High Strung/Nashville tuning acoustic for a while. Good chili and lots of cool refreshing Hamm's.

You don't need shocks. Get rid of those things. I'm getting ready to go out front and shovel, then run to the grocery store and get back home before the driveway snows over again. I don't mind shoveling* but I hate the caked/iced snow when the car packs down the snow. * I look at shoveling as exercise. If it bothered me I'd fire up the snow blower.

Good morning from Duluth. Fun show last night. No snow, but it's colder than a nakiehole examination table. Carry on.

Good day,
I made a beautiful breaded cod dinner last night. I carefully pre-heated the oven to 450. Pulled a baggy of fish out of the freezer and carefully arranged the pieces on a pan and stuck it in the oven. After ten minutes, I carefully flipped the pieces so that both sides could get nice and crispy and then reset the timer for 11 minutes. At the eight minute mark, I threw a bag of frozen peas in the microwave and pulled the ketchup and tartar sauce out of the fridge (I don't know who put the ketchup in the fridge, the cupboard is a fine for catsup). Yummy! Outside of a little freezer burn, a meal fit for a king (of a small impoverished country far from any sea).
