Good afternoon. It's bloody cold. Bloody Superbowl today. Bloody noise. Bloody hell.

Good day, I made a beautiful breaded cod dinner last night. I carefully pre-heated the oven to 450. Pulled a baggy of fish out of the freezer and carefully arranged the pieces on pan and stuck it in the oven. After ten minutes, I carefully flipped the pieces so that both sides could get nice and crispy and then reset the timer for 11 minutes. At the eight minute mark, I threw a bag of frozen peas in the microwave and pulled the ketchup and tartar sauce out of the fridge (I don't know who put it back in the fridge, the cupboard is a fine for catsup). Yummy! Outside of a little freezer burn, a meal fit for a king (of a small impoverished country far from any sea). Thanks, Paul, really appreciate that. Bill, what I described is what I ate last night. I saw humor in the juxtaposition. I still do. There was no barb intended, and if one were inferred, I'm sorry. My attempt at ironic self-deprecating humor aside, I feel real good about your having a nice evening with Barb. You deserve it. We all do. Well, not with Barb, necessarily, but with someone, or even with, or maybe especially with, our contented and at peace selves.

No snow today, and warmer, but still cloudy and rain later. I think we're missing the next storm that's going to sock the NE.
Is there a football game today or something? Some people seem excited.
I'm off to the gym.

Lots of snow. Send food and money. Can't get out due to snow. Need steaks, scotch, money and beer. Send these items on one of those big dogs. Hurry.

Good afternoon. It's bloody cold. Bloody Superbowl today. Bloody noise. Bloody hell. That's a terrible haiku.

Be sure to deflate your balls. All the good athletes are doing it.

In lieu of a cold and muddy hike, we decided to try a new Mexican place for Sunday brunch. Midwestern Mexican, not very good, not worth a second try.
Bruce, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Please report back that all went well.

Taken a couple of hours ago. It's still coming down heavy.

My back yard looks like Marshall's.
Nutso snow drivers today. Rebecca (my second oldest) decided this would be a perfect day to run some errands, and of course gets hopelessly stuck and calls me. Heading over, we see some young lady walking down the street. Offered her a ride. Ended up taking her halfway across town. Got to Rebecca and her stuck car. Worse than I thought. Digging out wouldn't be enough, so we head over to WalMart and get a tow strap (which, of course, I already had, but had stupidly left at home). Got her pulled out.
Through all of this I was amazed at how many people were trying and failing to get around with ordinary cars. Took us 20 minutes to get out of the WalMart parking lot for all the spinning tires ahead of us.
Tell you one thing I learned: If you want to get around with ease, a 10 year old Silverado is just the ticket. I bought that last year and this is my first real snow experience with it. Effortless traction anywhere I went. And the heater will melt iron. That was nice today.
Settling in with the whole fam damily for the Supper Bowl in a bit. Nothing fancy tonight: Dogs and brats and some home made chips. Easy peasy.

My 2000 Jeep Cherokee just can't be killed. On short errand down the gravel road was enough to prove that, but nobody around here ain't going anywhere.

Taken a couple of hours ago. It's still coming down heavy. How nifty, the sculpted looking curves and shapes the snow has made.
