Good morning. We're at about 20F and it looks like it has stopped snowing. We have about 4" on the ground but that's 4" I can't do anything about while restricted, no lifting is no shoveling. Fortunately we have nowhere to go today anyway. This being Virginia, everything's closed. If I was still in Syracuse it would just be another nice July day.

Morning
2F right now and we won't get much better than that today. It will snow a bit but not enough to worry about. Work continues on the Kay arch top and I'll probably finish that up today. Installing a pickup in the top of a arch top guitar takes a lot of gluing new pieces in to replace the braces that were cut away to make room for the pickup. Like the soundhole on a flattop the pickup hole creates a open space in the line of stress, string pull, and must be supported. Without this support the top would cave in after a short while.

Artic blast to hit the area over the next couple of days. I am really sick of the cold and this is unusual for this time of year. Enough already. Enjoy and keep the toes warm.

Up.
Coffee.
Not as cold as some here today. Not all that warm either. Just February. Bit of very light snow drifting down. If there were more of it, it would be pretty.

JDD what did you do or have done to yourself? Cubital tunnel syndrome, aka ulnar nerve entrapment. Pretty nasty numbness, like the purple-shaded images down a screen or so: orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=a00069 It made my handwriting even worse/comical than normal (I'm a leftie), and who wants to play guitar without using your ring finger and pinkie. So open it up, & grind off some bone to free up the nerve. Can't say it's 100% normal yet, but maybe 90?

90 is a great start JDD. That 65 degrees we hit on Saturday is about 65 degrees warmer than it is right now.

Artic blast to hit the area over the next couple of days. I am really sick of the cold and this is unusual for this time of year. Enough already. Enjoy and keep the toes warm. The long term hint from TV weather people last night said it warms up on the weekend to 10 degrees below normal, then another arctic blast follows in right behind next week.

G'mornin' - slept in. another beautiful day in the not so wet. Sunny and 50s, this has been an unusually dry winter, hope it doesn't mean a wet summer.

Son, wife and I made pretty quick work of shoveling the driveway. About six inches here but enough to close work today.
